We had unusually high temps on New Years Eve and the snow melted so we let the chickens roam the yard all day. They seem to be afraid to walk on the snow so they got a nice break from literally being cooped up for a month.

Our chickens are still cooped up, though I let them out the other day when it got a little warmer. They won't walk on the snow either, just on the 'trail' across the lawn from their coop that is grass. Snow just isn't their thing, is it?
